In middle of forest,

I got lost.

And was afraid

of getting roast.

Danger was floating near,

There was a scent

of constant fear.

Then, I saw him,

One, with, big brown eyes.

Who have overcome

the sea of lies.

The one,

who runs and leap,

between the trees.

The wild and free,

was there for me.

      1. Kajal I promise you will love it I have a special hard cover edition of that book, to me it is a Holy Grail type piece of literature and I have visions of those wild remote places long ago before heavy Industrial Revolution Times and how the wolves were so plentiful in those Yukon regions! Yes, read the book and then you must tell me what you think of it! Once you read it that whole landscape and backdrop will captivate your imagination like the way you were when writing your poem “Wolf.” You will write more wolf poetry afterward I assure you! I have so many emotions that fill my heart and soul when I think of that story and the real characters of it, the Wild Beings! Great Book, that β€œCall of the Wild.”

  2. Kajal, mystifying and the sense of danger is visceral giving an impression of foreboding impending doom being certain! This is one that triggers my imagination about being alone in secretive lonely places! Thanks for the thrill…

  3. I am not sure if you refer to the big guy in the forest or to a specific person in your life but if it is the first one, I know what you mean – As a Red Rabbit, I know how dangerous is the big black wolf – trust me. (Nice poem btw ;))
