Aftermath.

Hey you guys.

Please stay home and stay safe.

Wash your hands often and save water too.

When people started to stay home
were learning to untangle their heart,
All the healing took over pain
it was beautiful to see them reading and making art.

Some met their demons
while others danced to uplift their spirits,
They started to think individually
For they realised importance of every life , every breath , their ignorance
– a lesson they were ready to inherit.

It felt like centuries
but people stayed where they were,
For all the eyes were hoping for
the golden age to come back, wind was supposed to come with cure.

When all the suffering passed, all was felt and done, people came together to grieve the losses,
To see the earth healing was relief admist chaos and to never take life granted, to cherish every minute they promised.

Things unsaid

Here’s a collaboration with Bharath.Check out his mind.

A bag full of memories
A jar full of tears
Sand in my shoes
Fears up my sleeves.

A mind filled with fears
Voice full of melodies
Eyesight soaking in the hues
I carry down this road.

A world invisible is what I see
The touch I never felt haunts me
The fish never reached the oceans
Is it freedom, to fly like a bird
Over the air
Those stars in the sky
Are they really there?
Getting heavy,
With every turn
And then I see you
Pouring your all, into the blue.

You point to the wall,
I had no clue
We’re in this together
They’re our nightmares.

Illusion.

I once heard someone say
The world inside your head is barren,
But I brush that thought away
For who they are to think they know.

The spring came but I failed to fix the gloom
For in corners of my mind, the thought grew bit by it,
I’m trapped;
For my own skin no longer seems to fit.

The whole world crawls on my walls
They tell me, tomorrow will be good,
How long does it takes to reach the mountains
When your soul in trapped in the woods?

My days are constantly afraid of nights
No Matter how brightly it shines, that moon,
For seasons are mere illusions
I am forever out of tune.

365 days of Mermaid

Here’s to a beautiful year.

This is the longest relationship I have ever had with any kind of social media account (with minimum fluctuations) and I seriously never thought of coming this far.

Will keep posting like before (every Saturday) and will try to read each of your work.
And I actually like WordPress, so hope to stick around here, till next year.

Thank you for reading, for making me believe that words can never lose their magic.
If they ever do, I know other forms of art too 🙂

Thank you ♡

The dive

She told me it was heavy
to carry around all the hate,
All of her organs were suffering
Under that eerie weight.

For her, it was like sinking down
the ocean of her own dreams,
Instead of water, grief was running
through her heart, polluting the streets.

A soul so full of hope
roaming around like a butterfly,
She asked me to make her laugh
till it really feels safe to cry.

In the strands of her hair
I saw some tickling magic,
And I want her to know;
You are going to swim through sorrows
Even if this dive feels tragic.

Poetry on my skin.

Proud on
shallow connections,
You thrive to earn,
All this fake affection,
Can’t be a good turn.

You ask me to fly,
But I don’t want wings,
My aim is already high,
I don’t need your things.

Your energy
revolves around the greed,
My strength
floats within trees.
Stop suggesting me to read,
I don’t want your aura,
please.

You want me to dive in sea,
I don’t care
about virtue or sin.
Oh dear!
You can’t tame me,
It’s poetry,
written on my skin.
